Pancake House
Pancake House is a small street-food joint, near Om Market in Model Colony, Pune. If you go from Om Market towards JW Marriott, you'd find this little joint on your left alongwith other street food vendors there.
It is heartening to see pancakes being offered as street food now in Pune. This place is small, but pancakes are really good, in fact excellent value for money!
The owner is warm and knowledgeable and can suggest you the right pancake based on your preferences. Unfortunately I couldn't get much time to talk to him at length as he seemed busy serving hot pancakes to the customers. It seemed quite busy with nearby college going youngsters.
The pancakes are made fresh and served with variety of syrups, sauces, fresh fruits, whipped cream and grated chocolate. We tried American Classic and Bananarama pancakes, and both of these were pretty good. We definitely plan to try more varieties next time.
The quantity is significant and the prices are quite reasonable, ranging from ₹ 40 to ₹ 80 for 6-7 different pancake varieties. This is definitely a must-try place for its unique street food offerings!
